Work Experience
I really enjoyed working with others and being able to see what its like at two very different jobs. Some of the things I didn't enjoy was getting too and from work, in the middle of my first week there was a tube strike and it took me three hours to get back from work and the trains and tubes where fully packed.
Also sitting at a desk and staring at a computer screen was very boring at times, but I did learn a lot from what I was doing.

For the first week I worked at Eaglemoss publications where my Mum works, I was an editorial assistant, doing research, writing blogs and testing products. I also did some hand modelling for one of their baking magazines which was really interesting as I got to work with an amazing photographer, and helping him edit the pictures using photoshop.
The Second week I worked at Art Hub Studios with my friend Millie. We where helping various different artists that where working in the studio's. We also helped college students on some of there final pieces , teaching them how to screen print and then being able to do are own screen printing which I loved and hope to do again. On the final day an artist there kindly said we could do a pottery class with her which was something we had
never done before and learnt a lot from.

My Favourite Image:
I also think this image shows a dark ,tired and cold mood as it is out of focus and apart from the lights, shows lots of grey and black colours.
I think the triangle shapes that the lights have made are very affective as they stand out of the grungy background and they brighten up the image. This photo definitely portrays the mood I was in when I was taking this photo. I've chosen this image as it reminds me of the journey too and from work, and the view from where I was sitting in the office. It is a picture of the street I had to walk down to get to the train station. It was raining so heavily that day that the lights on the cars where going blurry, and whilst I was trying to take a photo I was also running to catch the train. This caused the picture to be out of focus and the lights to become distorted. |
