Wrong.
We were shown this photo by John Baldesarii at the beginning of the lesson, and told to work out what we think was 'wrong' with this picture, and why we think it was given this name. These are some of the answers we came up with:
- There is nothing wrong with it. It makes you criticise the picture. The title is wrong because we cant see anything wrong with the image. It's ironic - to confuse people. The image is questioning whats 'wrong'
- There is no colour. The proportions. The car.
- You can’t see much detail. The shadows don’t look right. The bush is too dark and the road too light.
- The man isn’t in the exact centre of the image. He is in an awkward position. The man is fake. He’s on the wrong side of the pavement. He’s too far away. The man has a tree behind his head.
- The picture is boring
- I don’t know.
Class Work: Evaluation:
We were then given ipads in pairs and told to go outside and take a wrong photo, and we would have to explain why we thought the photos we took were wrong.
Here are some of the photos we took: |
This image could be considered "wrong" because it is out of focus. It looks like when the photo was being taken the camera was moving and therefore the photo is not very clear.
